As a firm, Proffitt and Associates strives to improve the community in which we live and work. By providing pro bono architectural services to non-profit organizations, serving on the board of directors of civic and non-profit organizations, and sponsoring local organizations through advertising, we hope to develop partnerships that will strengthen Frederick County as a whole. We’ve provided pro bono architectural services for Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County, the Frederick Rescue Mission, the Police Activities League, and the Frederick County Humane Society. Principal Michael Proffitt serves on the Frederick Area Committee for Transportation and the Board of the Contemporary American Theater Festival. Project Architect Kori Purdum Matheis is currently serving on the Board of Open Arms Preschool.

Proffitt and Associates was the recipient of the following awards for non-profit partnership:
