Proffitt & Associates Architects has been working closely with the Frederick Church of the Brethren since 2001 designing alterations to their existing facilities to meet their immediate needs as well as planning for the expansion of this growing congregation to a second campus in Frederick County.

Existing Facility Alterations

This firm has worked with the Pastor and various committees to complete alterations to their religious education classrooms, A/V system upgrades, asbestos abatement, HVAC replacement, partial re-roofing, and new storage facilities.

Future Second Campus

The need for not just a satellite location but a full second campus for this congregation has been identified by the church's Expansion Committee due to their desire to increase their capacity to minister to a growing congregation. They are unable to expand at their current location due to its location within an established residential neighborhood bordered by the City of Frederick's Baker Park. Therefore, after establishing the projected need for building, parking and green space for this future campus, we have been working with the church to identify potential building sites within Frederick County that would provide the required acreage, zoning, visibility and access. Once the site is identified and contracted, we will prepare master planning and design documents for a new church, school and parish center.
