This 31,500 square foot building was designed as both
a generic shell office building to accommodate its
current tenant, Integrated Communication Solutions,
Inc. (ICS), as well as be adaptable for dividing the
facility into separate tenants in the future should
this be required. Proffitt & Associates Architects worked
diligently with general contractor and development
partner of the project, Parker, Cade & Large and
the current tenant, ICS, to design a facility that
complied with the covenants of the Westview Office
Park Guidelines, fit the irregular footprint provided
on the site plan, and provided a statement that worked
with the developer’s vision of this facility
as well as ICS.
The
exterior design reflects a rhythmic pattern of bronze
aluminum windows within a primarily red brick exterior
with brown soldier course accents and brown splitface
block base and vertical wall and pier elements utilized
to break up the “horizontalness” of the building
as well as providing an appealing variation on the elevations.
A curved steel entry canopy designed with a stainless
steel finish, provides a strong visible entrance to the
building.
The
interior of the facility was designed in a high tech
manner to reflect its users, and the current market
of computer technology. Exposed masonry walls are visible
in both the first and second floor lobbies, clear anodized
aluminum entrance doors are provided within the main
lobbies and designed with horizontal mullions that tie
into the interior wall finishes within the building’s
public areas, and an open steel and glass entry stair
provides direct vertical access between floors. |
