For their new building, the Board of Directors of the
Frederick Mutual Insurance Company envisioned a conservative
Georgian style. We designed an exterior consisting of
red sand molded brick, brick quoins at the corners,
decorative dental molding and fascia, raised panel shutters,
and asphalt shingles that appear to be slate. Two pairs
of painted wood Doric columns support the arched porch
roof structure with a grand curved staircase.
The
interior exhibits wide custom wood trim and six panel
doors, along with additional wood trim in the president's
office as well as the entrance. The boardroom features
an American black walnut chair rail, crown, trim, casework,
doors, and fireplace mantel. In general office areas,
we installed standard acoustical ceilings and vinyl
base with an open office area. We incorporated safety
elements such as a sprinkler system and emergency generator
without compromising the Georgian style.

addition to the existing building to increase core
