This
project involved the construction of a pre-engineered
shell building for use as a new facility
at Frederick Municipal Airport for Richard Crouse and
Associates, a company which provides aerial photography
and remote sensing services from its fleet of aircraft
based in two flight locations – Maryland and
South Carolina. In addition to a state-of-the-art hangar
for small aircraft , office and administrative areas
were also included as well as more specialized areas
for photographic processing, printing and document
storage. Space was also provided for preparation of
work plans and equipment maintenance.
The heating system included a radiant slab system
in the hangar, using hot water generated from a
gas-fired
boiler.
Site work included an entrance way and vehicle parking
connecting to an existing airport service road,
as well as a ramp in the rear leading to a taxi-way
to airport runways. |
