INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ALTERATIONS FOR:

AMERICAN RED CROSS

WALKERSVILLE, MARYLAND

COMPLETION DATE: 2007

$1,213,229 | 6,950 SF

Renovation to an existing historic school facility allowed expansion of the mission of the local Chapter of the Red Cross. Exterior work required approval by the MD Trust for Historic Preservation, and included hurricane testing and then re-glazing all exterior window. A new accessible entry was created, together with a new reception area. Interior work provided spaces for offices, training rooms, a multi-purpose room, and a museum, leaving about half of the building available as an emergency supply warehouse.
