KORI PURDUM MATHEIS, aia

Kori is President of Proffitt & Associates and has more than 23 years of design and master planning experience. Working with a diverse client base on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects, Kori is known for not only listening to her client's needs, but for asking intuitive questions to truly understand their goals. She has a passion for sustainable design and the creation of dynamic educational and civic environments that enrich lives and communities.
Kori has served on the Board of Directors at Open Arms Preschool of Hagerstown and Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County. She holds a Master of Architecture Degree from the Savannah College of Art & Design.

VICE PRESIDENT
john matheis II, AIA
LEED AP BD+C, NCARB
John has been part of the Proffitt & Associates team for more than a decade. His areas of expertise include education, healthcare, commercial and tenant fit-out work. Known for his strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities, John provides solid, creative ideas and client-centered service to ensure each project succeeds.
In 2018 and 2019, John volunteered as a technical advisor committee member for Pitchcraft, a local placemaking competition put together by the Downtown Frederick Partnership. He served on the board of AIA Potomac Valley between 2022 and 2023. He graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology from Fairmont State University.

KEVIN KNEER
RA
Kevin joined Proffitt & Associates in 2006 after relocating from Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He has 25 years' experience in the field of architecture, having previously worked on both the Eastern Shore and in West Virginia. His strong technical knowledge and his broad base of project experience allows him to meet the needs of a wide variety of clients.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology from Fairmont State University.
