NEW EDUCATIONAL BUILDING FOR:

SAINT IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA CHURCH

IJAMSVILLE, MARYLAND

COMPLETION DATE: 2010

$2,502,758 | 12,110 SF

Constructed in 1999 on a 15 acre site, St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, with a congregation of approximately 1,100 families and anticipated continued growth, was in need of additional space, particularly religious education for grades K-12. The new facility was planned to be 20,000 SF on two floors, housing new classrooms and support spaces, but budget constraints prompted a redesign that only included the first floor. The building was engineered to support a second story when the need arises and when funds are available. The new facility also included a new sprinkler system using the existing water well, and a tank and pump.
