This award winning project consisted of restorations to a brick building originally used as a water pumping station for the City's potable water supply. The building had been abandoned and was converted to a Community Center, with low ceilings, wood paneling on the walls, and furnished with basement castoffs from various donors. Interior restorations included repointing of the existing brick walls, upgrading the restrooms, installation of insulated wood framing, raising the ceiling in the community space to its original height, new HVAC and electrical systems, and new finishes. Exterior work included a new foundation drainage system along with new doors and windows.
